Printmaking can be tedious and frustrating at times. But as far experiencing in an academic context - i fell in love with it partly because of the professor i had. it can be a painfully awful class if the person teaching it is rubbish….
I think it does have a lot to do about which medium you feel most comfortable as well. If litho is your jam, i would keep taking classes in that and make some awesome shit!
